Con Dao Travel Introduce

 The Con Dao island is an archipelago which is one of 8 administrative units of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. The group includes 16 mountainous islands and islets. On map, Con Son archipelago (another name of Con Dao), looks like a bear whose back is towards the land, his head is towards East Vietnam Sea. Most of its terrain is mountain accounting for 88.4% the natural area. Con Dao has two flat areas, one is the city center and the other is Co Ong airport.

Besides having ocean climate, the average temperature in Con Dao each year is 26 degrees Celsius. It has two distinct seasons and the average amount of rain each year is 2250 mm. The rain season begins in May and ends in November. The dry season begins from December to April. Con Dao national park which is one of the three national parks in the Vietnam sea has 20,000 hectares, includes 6,000 hectares of forest, 14,000 hectares of sea area and 20,500 hectares of marine buffer zone. With the hot and humid feature of Asia evergreen equatorial forest and the mangroves, Con Dao is very suitable to develop ecological tourism.

Con Dao has a variety of flora and fauna. There are 1,077 species of plants, belonging to 640 genera of 160 families of vascular plants. There are precious tree species such as: Lat Hoa, Gang Neo, Quang Long... According to the survey, land animals have 32 ordors, 65 families, 160 species, there are many endemic and rare species such as Con Dao squirrel, Con Dao lizard; Con Dao Long-tailed macaque, Con Dao snake , Nicobar pigeon, Cobra King ... Under the sea there are over 1,725 species of marine life, there are species listed in the Red Book of Vietnam as Dugong, snail, abalone.

Con Dao lord of hell 

Of the 53 royal generation of the island, there were some whose cruelty was synonymous with the murderous regime - dubbed the "Hell on Earth". Lord Andouard was one of them.
